Core
The semantic core is a set of words and phrases that correspond to the focus of the web resource, the interests of its visitors, the specifics of the business niche, as well as the goods and services that are offered on it. The core is formed by studying search queries that are entered by Internet users into search engines.
Query analysis
A thorough analysis of the queries that users enter allows us to identify those words and phrases for which the site needs to be promoted in the search results so that visitors interested in the goods or services offered on it will go to it. Therefore, when compiling the core, some queries, including words such as “free”, duplicates, mentions of goods or services that the company does not have, are eliminated. Usually, the lowest-frequency queries are removed, and in some cases, phrases for which it is difficult to move to the TOP due to very high competition.
The importance of semantics
The semantic core necessarily includes keywords that characterize the entire range of goods and services offered on the site. Therefore, in addition to studying search queries, they use analysis of competitors’ web resources and the brainstorming method. Based on the semantic core, the structure of the site is compiled, sections and subsections, filter blocks, and page headings are identified. The success and speed of website promotion largely depends on how thoroughly the semantic core is collected and analyzed.
